If I had Known as a New Mother...

If I had known that I could attend a physio appointment to help my body recover, to help me with my weak pelvic floor and abdominals, without having the worry of letting my kids in care with a nanny or someone else, without feeling the dilemma of looking after myself and making it work for my family, I would have done it.

The thing is, I didn’t know that when you see a women’s health physio, you can still bring your baby, keep your unsettled baby on you or keep your toddler in the room, busy with toys while in consultation. If this is one of the barriers that keeps you from looking after yourself, we get it. We make it easier for you and we understand the struggles of motherhood in this day and age.

Do yourself a favour, embark on your journey and give yourself the strength and freedom you deserve.

We will check your abdominals and assess if there is a weakness or an abdominal separation. We will review your bladder and bowel symptoms, address any questions about pain in the pelvis. We will check how is your pelvic floor function and make a specific plan with you.

Together we find a solution that works for you, with a unique program for your body.

We will take you every step of the way to help your body get stronger. You may need special assistance from pelvic weights, pessary, biofeedback devices to help you get the results you need, and most of all we will coach you to be the best at your rehabilitation.

I am sad that mums have less support than they should after birth. You see, in some countries, women’s health physio is provided through the hospital. In Australia, we must seek further assistance in the community. At West Ryde Physio, we are passionate about giving women the best care to overcome their weak pelvic and abdominal muscles, so that they can return to the things they love to do.

Are you ready to take the first step to the start of your journey to a stronger you?

Here is how it works.

First, book in for your first assessment.

Then, we plan your sessions.

From there, we execute the plan, incorporating your exercises into your day.

You can see the physio individually and sign up to the exercise sessions.

Finally, feel the results.
