At West Ryde Physiotherapy, all our Pilates classes are run by our trained and accredited physiotherapists. You will have an injury-minded professional to guide you through your exercises.

Small group classes

We offer individual or small group sessions of no more than 6 participants in each class. This means that you receive a highly tailored exercise routine and individual, specialised attention.

Tailored programs

During your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will assess your medical history, mobility and level of strength. This allows us to design a program suited to your needs, whether you’re recovering from an injury or improving your strength for better sports performance.

Pregnancy Pilates

Join our specialised pregnancy clinical Pilates for a fun and safe workout. Pilates is one of the best and safest forms of exercise for pregnant women.

During pregnancy, special care is needed as your body is adapting to a growing tummy. Pre-natal Pilates helps improve the strength and function of your pelvic floor and core muscles as your body changes.

All pregnancy classes are led by accredited and high experienced female physiotherapists. New participants will be first assessed by our physiotherapist.

Mums & Bubs Pilates classes

We run 6-week post-natal clinical Pilates programs for new mums. It is suitable for women who had a C-section or a vaginal delivery, and have already had their 6-week medical check-up.

These classes are designed for busy mums who want to get back into shape while enjoying the company of other new mothers.

Your baby will be at arm's reach during the session on a mat or in his pram close to you.

New mothers will benefit from specific exercises:

  • Strengthening your core muscles

  • Pelvic floor training and advice

  • Improving your back and neck strength to meet the high demands of motherhood

  • Relaxation techniques to help you recharge your energy
